Mindful breathing is a straightforward technique that requires nothing more than a quiet, open space and a comfortable seat, such as a chair or cushion. If preferred, you can use an eye cover to enhance relaxation. The focus of this practice is on your breathing—specifically, each inhale and exhale. By concentrating on the rise and fall of your chest with each breath, your breathing becomes the centre of attention. If your thoughts drift, gently guide them back to the rhythm of your breath.
